Your June Credit Check Reminder: Experian
Checking your credit report three times a year is one of the simplest ways to catch identity theft early. That is why we built this rotating reminder into your service: Experian in June, TransUnion in October, and Equifax in February.
This month is Experian. Here are two ways to pull your free report.
OPTION 1: ONLINE (RECOMMENDED)
Visit annualcreditreport.com, the only federally authorized site for free credit reports. Select Experian from the three bureau options, answer the identity verification questions, and securely download your report. We recommend saving a PDF copy for your records.
OPTION 2: BY MAIL
If you prefer paper, fill out the Credit Report Request Form (attached) and mark Experian as the requested bureau. Mail it to the address on the form. Allow two to three weeks for delivery.
WHAT TO DO ONCE YOU HAVE YOUR REPORT
Review every account listed. Confirm each one is yours.
Look for unfamiliar addresses, employers, or hard inquiries within the last 12 months.
Flag anything that does not look right.
Want a second set of eyes? You can share your report with us through your Windward Portal and we will review it with you. Please do not send credit reports through email or fax. They contain sensitive personal information that is best protected through the portal.
