Kathy Washburn is Windward’s Operations Associate and Tax Preparer, supporting the firm’s operations, HR, IT, and client tax services. With over 30 years of accounting experience alongside founder Darrell Tierney, she brings deep expertise to bookkeeping, accounting, and tax preparation. As an IRS Enrolled Agent, Kathy is also qualified to represent taxpayers before the IRS. She lives in Kansas City, Kansas, with her husband, John, and treasures time with their two daughters and four grandchildren. Outside of work, Kathy is active in her church, enjoys exercising, and can often be found cheering at her grandchildren’s games and school events.
